Anti al-Nusra protests in Maarat al-Nu'man continue

By Thursday 24 March, pro-FSA/anti-Jabhat al-Nusra protests in the small Idlib city of Maarat al-Nu'man have continued for the twelfth day straight. Protestors can be seen waving the Free Syrian Army flags, as well as two different FSA Division 13 flags. The protests started in reaction to al-Nusra hostilities against FSA Division 13, beginning on 12 March. Several Division 13 soldiers were killed, while others were taken captive and a weapons depot was raided. A protest on 15 March led to the storming and burning of the local al-Nusra headquarters. On 22 March, Jabhat al-Nusra and Division 13 met in a Sharia court and agreed to cease hostilities and allow the committee to investigate the incidents. Protestors are also upset that local activists arrested by Jabhat al-Nusra have yet to be released.
